Hudson Valley Community College is working with iFactory, a Boston-based digital web design agency with more than 20 years of web experience specializing in higher education clients. iFactory was on campus in November 2016 and met with about 40 faculty, staff and students in small focus groups. We followed these meetings up by distributing surveys to students and faculty/staff.
iFactory is returning to campus to present their strategic report at a campus-wide Town Hall Meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 8 at 2 p.m. in the BTC Auditorium, which will serve as a high-level roadmap to help move the college’s public website from its current state to an aspirational one. The purpose of this report is to summarize the findings from the focus groups, strategic brief, documentation review, student and faculty/staff survey, and site analysis in way that will answer the following questions about the website redesign:
- What are we trying to do?
- Why are we doing it?
- How will we know when we’ve done it?
It’s critical that we know that the strategic report is aligned with what Hudson Valley Community College and, more importantly, visitors to www.hvcc.edu’s needs, as it will act as a building block for the rest of the project so we hope you can join and participate in the conversation.
